The ultra-high-pressure waterjet pump is based on the configuration of two reciprocating hydraulic intensifiers. One hydraulic unit works at a maximum of 2900 psi (200 bars) and activates the hydraulic cylinder, which then drives the high pressure plunger piston into the high pressure cylinder at 58000 psi.

High Pressure In-line Filter

High Pressure (HP) line filters must be installed into every waterjet cutting system. These filters remove any particles resulting from poor water quality or other factors such as bending stress. Removal of these particles is essential to prevent wear on pneumatic valve and cutting head components.

High pressure water filters aid in the longevity of pneumatic valve components, swivel seals and orifices. Ingersoll-Rand offers lightweight, compact high-pressure water filters to suit all waterjet applications. All filters have replaceable elements to minimize operating costs and are easy to maintain.

 

High Pressure (HP) swivel joints

High Pressure (HP) swivel joints are used to allow a certain rotation between HP piping. Both ends of the swivel joint are connected to a 1/4" HP piping. The bushing and bearings allow the spindle to rotate, while the HP seal assembly seals against the spindle shaft and swivel body. There are several different combinations available:

  • straight and 90° angle

  • male and female spindles

  • female swivel bodies

Ingersoll-Rand high pressure swivels have exceptionally long life and come in a variety of configurations to simplify integration of high pressure water to your motion equipment. Ingersoll-Rand’s swivel designs allow easy maintenance and leak detection without removing the swivel assembly from its mounted location. All swivel configurations utilize the same internal components.

Our large selection of styles and sizes can provide delivery of high pressure water to any cutting workcell configuration. Ingersoll-Rand maintains an extensive in-house inventory of tubing and fittings for immediate, same-day shipments.

 

Robot Interface Kits


Ingersoll-Rand’s high-pressure plumbing kits integrate high pressure water to all types of robotic equipment. Engineered to allow full articulated motion of the robot, Ingersoll-Rand plumbing kits minimize downtime and maintenance through the use of high-pressure coils. Optional nozzle mounting assemblies allow the cutting head to “breakaway” from the robot in the event of a crash, preventing possible damage to the robot and cutting fixtures while creating an E-stop condition. The nozzle can be reattached with the same Tool Center Point (TCP) in seconds.

 
 

Coils


High Pressure Coils are engineered and manufactured in-house at Ingersoll-Rand to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Ingersoll-Rand’s High Pressure Coils are designed to minimize wear and stress on the robots they are integrated with. High pressure autofrettage testing is performed after the coiling process is complete, guaranteeing the strength and longevity of the coil itself. Ingersoll-Rand’s High Pressure Coils are coned and threaded prior to shipment for easy installation on-site.
